The 2012 Medina Fastpitch Recreation League draft is complete! You should be hearing from your coaches and the league this week, with your team number and other details. You can download the 2012 game and practice schedules by clicking on the links here.
The draft for the 2012 Medina Fastpitch Recreation Season is April 28. Here are the other important dates for the season:
May 7: Practice starts for recreation teams. Your coach will update you on times, fields, after the draft
June 2: Games start! This is Opening Day. All teams, all ages, play at Greenwood. Schedule to come soon!
July 11: All-Star game
July 21-29: Rec tournament. Championship games and season-ending picnic are Sunday, July 29
Sept. 8: Fall Ball begins!
Just a reminder that the 2012 Medina Fastpitch Recreation League draft takes place at noon on Saturday, April 28, in the upstairs conference room at Pinnacle Sports, 313 Medina Rd. Please make sure a representative of your team is in attendance. You should have received an email already confirming your coaching staff (Head Coach and two assistants) for 2012. You’ll get a reminder email soon.
Draft should take about two hours. You will receive your practice and game schedules and equipment at the draft.
Opening day is Saturday, June 2, at Greenwood Park. All teams will play that day. Team photos will be taken June 2, too.

MGSA operates with an all-volunteer staff and relies on sponsorships and fees to operate the league and provide the wonderful opportunities for our young ladies to participate. Decisions to call off practices are at the discretion of the team’s Head Coach – the league will not make weather-related decisions for practices. We do ask, however, that coaches use good judgment when playing on wet fields – besides the inherent danger to the players, damage can be done to the infield. If the field is “soggy” yet you believe you can still run some drills, please use the outfield grass.
